Dr. Caglia received his BS degree from Northern Michigan University and MD degree from UAG School of Medicine/CMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School-Fifth Pathway. He completed his residency training in Medicine with additional training in Dermatology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Chief Medical Resident at the University of Rochester’s Highland Hospital.  Advanced training in cosmetic dermatologic and laser procedures followed his postgraduate training with world-renowned pioneers in this field. With this ever changing and relatively new field of medicine it is imperative to be abreast of new techniques and improved technology and develop new skill sets by attending global workshops and symposia.  This is the best way to insure excellent outcomes for our patients and deliver the best possible care.  Dr. Caglia is a consultant to Palomar Medical Technologies and the Slim Lipo Body Laser Sculpting as well as teaching affiliation with several area colleges for the medical assistance programs.  He currently serves on the advisory board of Suneva Medical, manufacturer of the long lasting filler Artefill.  Dr. Caglia will soon begin a multicenter pilot study in the use of this product for permanent facial contouring in HIV associated lipoatrophy.

Michael Caglia, M.D.

Dr. Michael Caglia earned his B.A. degree from the University of San Diego and completed his M.D. degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.  Dr. Caglia is currently involved in dermatology research at the University of San Diego School of Medicine and will complete his prelim postgraduate residency training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Dr. Caglia was elected to the IEA medical honor society and is a member the of American Medical Association.  He is also a competitive professional flyer of large scale radio controlled aircraft and is working toward his private pilot certificate.  Dr. Caglia is actively involved with developing research protocols and submission of case reports for publication.
