Dr. Michael Caglia earned his B.A. degree from the University of San Diego and completed his M.D. degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Dr. Caglia's prelim postgraduate medicine training was completed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric & adolecent dermatology research fellowship at the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine under the mentorship of world renowned Lawrence Eichenfield, M.D. and Sheila Friedlander, M.D. Dr. Caglia is currently a research fellow at the University of Utah department of dermatology involved in studies related to the treatment of psoriasis.
Dr. Caglia was elected to the IEA medical honor society and is a member the of American Medical Association and Skin Cancer Foundation. He is actively involved with developing research protocols and submission of clinical case reports. Outside the medical arena Dr. Caglia is also a competitive professional flyer of large-scale radio controlled aircraft and will be working toward his private pilot airman certificate.
